Terms of Service
Last updated: June 30, 2026
The agreement that covers your use of Frame Your Catch — please read it before ordering.
This page is provided for transparency about how Frame Your Catch operates. It is general information, not legal advice. If anything here conflicts with the terms shown to you at checkout, the checkout terms apply.
1. Acceptance & eligibility
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Flat Taxidermy (“Frame Your Catch,” “we,” “us”), operator of frameyourcatch.com (the “Service”). By uploading a photo, generating artwork, or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy.
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to place an order. We currently sell and ship within the United States only.
2. What we do
You upload one or more photos of a fish you caught, and we use them to create a true-to-life piece of art that you can keep as a digital download or order as a physical print. Previews are free; you pay only when you choose to buy a digital file or a print.
3. Your photos & content
You keep ownership of the photos you upload. By uploading, you represent that you own the photo or have permission to use it, and that it does not infringe anyone’s rights or contain unlawful content. Please don’t upload photos that prominently feature other identifiable people without their consent.
You grant us a limited license to store and process your photo — including sending it to our third-party AI and printing providers (see the Privacy Policy) — for the purpose of creating your artwork and fulfilling your order. We do not sell your photos.
4. AI-generated artwork
Your artwork is created with the help of AI image tools working from your photo. We aim for a faithful, true-to-life result, but the output is an artistic rendering and not a photographic reproduction. Likeness, colors, and detail are best-effort and not guaranteed. You always see a preview of the exact artwork before you pay.
5. Ownership of the artwork
Once your order is complete, you receive a license to use the generated artwork and any digital file for your own personal, non-commercial use (printing, displaying, and sharing your own catch). The “Frame Your Catch” name, logo, and site content remain ours. If you want to use artwork commercially, contact us first.
6. Orders, pricing & payment
Prices are shown in U.S. dollars, and you always see the exact price — including shipping and any applicable sales tax — before you pay. Payments are processed by Stripe; we don’t store your full card details. Shipping is charged separately at our printer’s actual cost.
Promotional codes and affiliate (“referral”) links may offer a discount that is applied automatically at checkout. We may correct pricing errors and cancel any order affected by an obvious mistake, with a full refund.
7. Digital files & physical prints
Digital downloads are available immediately after checkout. Physical prints are made to order and fulfilled and shipped by a third-party print provider. Delivery estimates shown at checkout are estimates, not guarantees. See our Refund Policy for how we handle defects, damage, and cancellations.
8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don’t warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that the artwork will meet every expectation of likeness.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service or an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Frame Your Catch harmless from claims arising out of content you upload or your misuse of the Service, including any claim that a photo you uploaded infringed someone else’s rights.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, and the “Last updated” date above will change. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois.
